Creator of GLAAD Award Winning Children’s Animated Program Fired for Sexual Harassment

Chris Savino, the creator of the Nickelodeon children’s program LOUD HOUSE was fired after a dozen women accused him of sexual harassment and unwanted advances over the course of years. The show which was celebrated by the LGBT community because of the representation of a gay couple and their son in the episode “Attention Deficit”, which was nominated at the GLAAD Media Awards.

According to Cartoon Brew, Savino also hindered female colleagues from advancing professionally when they resisted sexual advances from him.

This news comes on the heels of an open letter written by over 217 women in the animation industry inviting on a change in their own industry where sexual harassment, and even assault are commonly a problem.
